Getting there

  • There are over 12,000 parking bays, but parking is not free and is limited. The V&A names the Dock Road parking (opposite the Apple iStore), Battery Park and the Silo District as the easiest places to leave from, as they are closest to the city and the freeways.
  • Last year the V&A urged motorists to arrive early and use the edges of the parking area, with traffic monitoring in place.
  • The V&A advises watching for announcements on MyCiTi and Prasa train times over New Year's Eve, and encourages public transport, taxis or e-hailing.
