Getting there

  • Do not count on S+U Brandenburger Tor: last year (New Year 2026) the station closed for safety from 16:00 on 31 December, the U5 passed through without stopping, and from 22:00 to about 00:30 the U5 ran only between Alexanderplatz and Hönow. Arrangements for New Year 2027 have not been announced; check BVG and S-Bahn Berlin.
  • You need a free ticket. Kulturprojekte Berlin says free tickets will be available from December, and for the party that welcomed 2026 they were issued for about 20,000 guests.
